In Chandigarh, thirty graduates trained under a skill development programme in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector have secured jobs in various banks. The programme, funded by the Sun Foundation in collaboration with IFM Fincoach, aims to equip youth with essential skills for employment in the BFSI industry.
Rajya Sabha member Vikramjit Singh Sahney, along with Punjab Employment Generation Minister Aman Arora, awarded certificates to the students who successfully completed the training. Sahney expressed pride in the placements secured by the graduates, emphasizing the value of the skill development initiative in providing job opportunities.
Minister Arora announced that the BFSI skill programme is being formally launched across Punjab at World Class Skill Centres.
