NEET-UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Live Updates: The Supreme Court has begun the hearing of more than 40 petitions today in connection with the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case. A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justices J B Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra will hear several pleas related to irregularities in the NEET UG exam, the demand for cancellation as well as the NTA’s petition seeking transfer of cases pending against it in various high courts to SC. The apex court was earlier scheduled to hear the petitions on July 11 but was adjourned until July 18. The three-judge bench observed that it had received a status report from the CBI on the progress made in the probe. The CBI is currently investigating six cases and has recently detained four AIIMS Patna students in connection with the paper leak case. During the court proceedings on July 8, the CJI noted that the sanctity of the exam had been compromised and the extent of the paper leak is important to decide whether the exam held on May 5 be cancelled or not.
