CUET Results 2024 Announced: Counselling Process Details for DU, JNU, and JMI

The Common University Cum Entrance Test (CUET) results were announced on July 28, 2024, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Following the announcement, participating universities and colleges such as Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) are now conducting their counselling processes. The dates for counselling will soon be announced by these institutions.

Counselling Registration and Process

General Requirements:

  • Registration: Candidates must register on the official websites of the respective universities where they wish to seek admission.
  • Documents Needed: Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, CUET scorecard, admit card, caste certificate (if applicable), category certificate, transfer certificate, and conduct certificate.
  • Seat Allotment: After document verification, seats will be allotted based on rank and preferences. Candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

Admission Process for Delhi University (DU):

  1. Registration: Candidates must register on the DU CSAS portal: admission.uod.ac.in.
  2. Details Submission: Fill in academic and personal details and upload necessary documents.
  3. Phases: The admission process is conducted in three phases.
  4. Correction Dates: The university has not yet announced any dates for corrections on the DU CSAS portal.

Admission Process for Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU):

  1. Eligibility: Candidates must have attained the specified CUET cutoff.
  2. Registration: Apply on the official website: jnu.ac.in.
  3. Merit List: JNU will release a merit list based on CUET scores.
  4. Seat Confirmation: If selected, candidates must accept the offer by paying the seat confirmation fee within the specified timeframe.

Admission Process for Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI):

  1. Registration: Eligible candidates must apply on the official website: jmicoe.in within 10 days of CUET result declaration.
  2. Documents: Fill up the form and provide the required documents.
  3. Merit List: The university will release a merit list based on CUET scores.
  4. Further Process: Eligible candidates will be called for the further admission process as per an official press note by Jamia.

Spot Counselling:

  • Procedure: If seats remain vacant after initial rounds, universities may conduct spot counselling.
  • Eligibility: Candidates who did not secure a seat initially may participate in this round.
  • Registration and Verification: Register and attend the document verification process.
  • Schedules: Each university has different procedures and schedules, so candidates should frequently check their respective official websites for updates.
