In a bid to enhance healthcare services and address the shortage of medical professionals, the Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is organizing walk-in interviews for the recruitment of 26 MBBS doctors on a contractual basis for Jhansi district.

- In 2021, the Uttar Pradesh government had recruited 900 additional doctors on a contractual basis to bolster medical care in anticipation of a potential third wave of COVID-19. Dr. Kalpana Singh, Director of General Training and Director General of Medical Health, noted that 1,500 doctors had applied for these positions, and interviews were underway to select the most suitable candidates.
