The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has issued a short notice regarding the recruitment of teachers for Army Public Schools (APS) across India. The recruitment drive is aimed at filling positions for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Primary Teachers (PRT). The application window for these teaching roles opened on September 9, 2024, and will remain open until October 25, 2024.

- Schools: Approximately 136 Army Public Schools across India

- Application Fee: Rs 385 for all categories
Educational Qualifications:
- For PGT (Post Graduate Teacher):
- Completion of a two-year integrated PG course from Regional Colleges of Education of NCERT with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subject, or
- A Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks, or
- A BEd/MEd degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
- For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university, and
- A BEd degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized educational institute.
- For PRT (Primary Teacher):
- A Graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a BEd/DEl Ed/JBT with a minimum of 50% marks, or
- A BEd degree with a six-month PDPET/Bridge course from a recognized NCERT College of Education.
- CTET/TET Requirement: Candidates for PRT and TGT positions must clear the CTET/TET as per NCTE guidelines.
Age Limit:
- For candidates with more than 5 years of experience: Below 57 years
- For fresh applicants with less than 5 years of experience: Below 40 years
Selection Process:
- Online Screening Test (OST): The first stage of the selection process will be an online screening test scheduled for November 23 and November 24, 2024.

- Locate the “Army Public School Teachers Recruitment” link in the “What’s New” section.
- Register if you have not already created an account.
- Complete the application form, upload required documents, and pay the application fee.
- Submit the application and download a copy of the acknowledgment for future reference.
Admit Card and Results:
- Admit Card: Available from November 12, 2024, on the AWES official website.
- Result: The result will be published on the AWES website after the OST exam. Candidates can check their results using their AWES registration numbers. Results are expected to be announced within a month or two after the exam.
