The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the notification for the 70th BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), aiming to fill 1,929 vacancies. Notably, this year, only 50 percent of reservations will apply, and there has been a significant change in the negative marking system. Commission Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai revealed in an interview with News18 that for every three incorrect answers, one mark will be deducted from the total score. This adjustment aligns with the style of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and encourages candidates to answer more carefully.

The 70th Recruitment drive is set to include various positions, with 799 posts available for the unreserved category, 604 for women, 34 for grandchildren of liberation fighters, and 66 reserved for candidates with disabilities. The BPSC 70th Prelims will be conducted for 150 marks, while the Mains will carry a total of 900 marks, followed by an interview worth 120 marks. The Prelims are expected to take place in the second week of November, with specific dates to be announced on the official website.
