The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced an Executive Post-Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, designed for early and mid-career professionals. Offered by the Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Science (C-MinDS), this 18-month, industry-focused online program is set to begin in January 2025, as per a report by India Today.
Developed and taught by IIT Bombay faculty in collaboration with Great Learning, the program will conclude with an on-campus graduation ceremony, granting participants IIT Bombay alumni status. The curriculum covers essential areas of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data science, blending foundational courses with advanced topics like deep learning and generative AI.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with key tools and technologies, including Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, and Kubernetes, ensuring they are equipped with the practical skills needed in today’s tech industry. Applicants must hold a relevant undergraduate degree or have work experience in related fields, with strong foundations in mathematics and statistics.
This initiative underscores IIT Bombay’s commitment to advancing AI and data science education, providing professionals with the expertise needed to thrive in a technology-driven world. Additionally, the institute has opened applications for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025, scheduled for January 19, 2025.
