Choctaw Nation Encourages Voter Participation with Registration Event

DURANT, Okla. – The Choctaw Nation is encouraging its citizens to exercise their voting rights in federal, state, and tribal elections. Chief Gary Batton’s 2022 Voter Registration and Voter Education Proclamation urges Choctaw citizens to enhance their political influence by actively participating in elections at all levels.

On October 7, the Choctaw Nation will host a voter registration event at its Durant headquarters, offering assistance in registering for federal, state, and tribal elections. This initiative aims to boost voter participation among the Choctaw people.

Key Voting Information

Federal Elections:
Choctaw citizens are encouraged to participate in the 2025 U.S. Presidential election. Voter registration information can be found at the I Will Vote website.

  • Texas:
    • Last day to register: October 7
    • Mail-in ballot application deadline: October 25
    • Early voting: October 21 to November 1
    • General election: November 5
  • Oklahoma:
    • Last day to register: October 10
    • Mail-in ballot application deadline: 15 days before the election
    • Early voting: Thursday and Friday before election day
    • General election: November 5
  • Arkansas:
    • Last day to register: October 7
    • Mail-in ballot deadline: 7 days before the election
    • Early voting: October 21 to November 3
    • General election: November 5

Tribal Elections:
