Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria emphasized the vital role of quality education in unlocking women’s potential during the founder’s day celebrations of the Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust at Sidhwan Khurd on Monday. He asserted that education enables women to make significant contributions to societal progress through their diverse skills.

In his address, Governor Kataria recognized women’s innate multitasking abilities and stressed that their active involvement in decision-making processes could position them as beacons of inspiration within their communities. He referenced Harparkash Kaur, a founding member of the trust, highlighting that educated women leave a lasting impact on society and inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Since its inception in 1909 with just four students learning under a tree, the institution has grown to educate over 5,000 students.

The Governor called for increased opportunities for women to advance their achievements, urging young women to emulate Harparkash Kaur’s mission of promoting education among girls. He praised teachers as the architects of the nation, recognizing their significant responsibility in instilling values, discipline, and leadership qualities in students, which are essential for India’s prosperity.

In addition, Governor Kataria honored students from the institutions operated by the trust for their achievements, celebrating their contributions to education and society. Trustees Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal, Pritam Singh Johal, Jarnail Singh Dhillon, Davinder Singh Mann, and others were present to felicitate the Governor at the event.
