The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has lodged a police complaint against two Delhi-based schools, alleging the submission of forged land documents for obtaining affiliation.

The schools under investigation are Manava Bhawna Public School, Burari, and Sat Saheb Public School, Uttam Nagar. The complaint has been filed at the Preet Vihar Police Station, according to a CBSE official’s announcement on Tuesday.

Verification Uncovers Forgery

CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta explained that the board follows stringent protocols to scrutinize essential documents submitted by schools during the affiliation process. As part of this process, land certificates were sent to the issuing authorities for verification.

“The verification revealed that the certificates had not been issued by the concerned authorities, exposing them as fraudulent,” Gupta stated.

Details of the Schools

  • Sat Saheb Public School:
Located in Uttam Nagar, this school serves 2,000 students and employs 90 staff members.
  • Manava Bhawna Public School:
Based in Burari, the school accommodates 2,165 students with a faculty of 43 teachers.

Despite attempts to contact the school authorities for their response, no comments were received at the time of this report.

CBSE’s Commitment to Integrity

This action reflects CBSE’s commitment to maintaining integrity in the affiliation process. By ensuring the authenticity of submitted documents, the board aims to uphold high standards in school education.
