Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has declared February 12, 2025, as a public holiday in honor of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. As per the official notification, all government offices, autonomous bodies, and public undertakings under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi will remain closed on this day.
The notification also cancels the previously announced Restricted Holiday for Guru Ravidas Jayanti, making it a full-fledged public holiday. As a result, all government schools will remain closed on Wednesday, following the directive. However, essential services and critical departments will continue to operate as per standard holiday protocols.
Will Private Schools and Institutions Remain Closed?
It remains unclear whether private schools and institutions in Delhi will also observe a holiday. Individuals are advised to check with their respective organizations for confirmation.
