Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the STEM Education programme on National Science Day. This initiative promotes science-based learning, encourages curiosity, and integrates advanced technologies into education.
Advancing Science in Education
At Vigyan Bhawan, Yadav addressed students, emphasizing the government’s commitment to science and technology in governance and education. He also highlighted National Science Day, which commemorates C.V. Raman’s discovery of the Raman Effect on February 28, 1928.
He stated, “India has a long tradition of scientific advancements. Even before telescopes, Indian scholars contributed significantly to astronomy.”
India’s Scientific Achievements
Yadav noted India’s success in vaccination and digital payments during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the nation is experiencing a golden era of science and technology under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Additionally, he stressed that a structured approach, curiosity-driven learning, and technology adoption have strengthened India’s global position in innovation and research.
MoU to Promote Scientific Collaboration
To enhance academic partnerships, the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology signed an MoU with VIT Bhopal. This agreement fosters scientific collaboration, research, and hands-on learning for students.
The STEM Education programme aims to integrate practical learning into the curriculum, ensuring students acquire essential skills for the future.
