The ISC (Class 12) board exams for the academic year 2021-22, conducted by the CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations), have commenced from November 22. Here are the key details and guidelines for the exams:

  1. Exam Structure: The ISC board exams are divided into two semesters. The first semester is currently ongoing, while the second will be held in March/April of the following year. Semester 1 primarily consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
  2. Admit Cards: Candidates must carry their admit cards, collected from their respective schools, to the exam centers. They are required to be seated in the exam hall five minutes before the scheduled start time.
  3. Question Paper Format: Candidates will receive question papers with answers in booklets. They must write their unique identification number and index number at the top of the answer booklet once the exam begins.
  4. Late Arrivals: Any candidate arriving late must provide a satisfactory explanation to the Supervising Examiner. No paper will be provided to candidates more than half an hour late, except under exceptional circumstances. Punctuality is emphasized.
  5. Exam Duration and Conduct: Candidates are not permitted to leave the examination room until they have completed the paper. They will be given ten minutes extra at the beginning to read the questions. Responses must be written in black or blue ink.
  6. Electronic Devices: Simple electronic devices are allowed, and rough work sheets are provided within the question paper/answer booklet for subjects requiring calculations, diagrams, etc. No additional sheets are provided for rough work.

These guidelines ensure standardized and fair conduct of the ISC board exams, maintaining integrity and adherence to protocol throughout the examination process.
