Aashna Chaudhary hails from Pilkhuwa, a small town in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district. Her father, Dr. Ajit Chaudhary, is a professor, and her mother, Indu Singh, is a homemaker. Aashna excelled in her studies from a young age, attending prestigious schools across India, including St. Xavier’s School in Pilkhuwa and Delhi Public School in Ghaziabad. She completed her 12th grade with an impressive 96.5% in humanities.
In 2019, she graduated with Honors in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, followed by a Master’s in International Relations from South Asian University in 2023. During her studies, Aashna worked with an NGO helping underprivileged children, reflecting her commitment to social causes.
Inspired by her family to pursue the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam, Aashna took a year off after graduation to prepare. Her first attempt in 2020 was unsuccessful, but she remained resolute. In 2022, on her third attempt, Aashna cracked the exam, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 116 without formal coaching. She scored 992 out of 2025 marks, earning her first-choice service in the Indian Police Service (IPS).
