The Ahmedabad District Education Officer (DEO) has issued a final notice to 468 schools for failing to update their Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE) module entries. Despite multiple reminders, these institutions did not submit essential student and school-related data, prompting the DEO to set a strict March 10 deadline.
Failure to comply may lead to derecognition and UDISE code cancellation.
Data Update Requirement for 2024-25
All schools under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation were instructed to update:
- Student promotion-progress data
- School profiles
- Teacher information
DEO Rohit Chaudhary stressed that schools must finalize pending entries by March 10. Schools failing to do so will have to send their principals to the DEO’s office with written explanations.
Strict Action Against Non-Compliance
The directive aims to streamline student identification data and generate unique identification numbers. The DEO has warned that serious consequences will follow for schools that do not comply with the order.
