AICTE Launches NEAT 4.0 to Boost AI-Driven EdTech Learning

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the fourth phase of the National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT 4.0), introducing 40 AI-powered learning tools to revolutionize education in India. Launched on January 2, 2025, NEAT 4.0 represents a significant milestone in leveraging technology to bridge skill gaps and enhance employability through personalized, industry-aligned education.

Key Features of NEAT 4.0

  1. Innovative AI Tools:
    • AICTE partnered with 22 leading EdTech firms to introduce 40 tools.
    • Tools cater to personalized learning, real-time feedback, and adaptive content.
    • Focus on industries like Biomedical Engineering, Health and Wellness, and Space Technology.
  2. Agile Updates:
    • New tools are evaluated and onboarded every 2–3 months to ensure the platform remains up-to-date with the latest innovations.
  3. Inclusivity and Accessibility:
    • Free and subsidized premium tools for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
    • Collaboration with private firms ensures broader access to high-quality education.
  4. One Student One Mentor Program:
    • Developed with Intercell, an AI-driven mentoring platform.
    • Includes live one-on-one mentoring sessions, Mentor Match, InstaResume, and Internship Support tools.
    • Focused on preparing students for the job market with practical skills and industry insights.

Milestones Achieved

  • Since its inception in 2019, NEAT has connected students with cutting-edge EdTech solutions tailored to the modern job market.
  • In NEAT 3.0, launched in 2022, over ₹253 crore worth of free course coupons were distributed to 12 lakh disadvantaged students.
