ASAANA Celebrates 20 Years of Community and Legacy at 5th Reunion in Addison, IL

The All-Saints’ Alumni Association of North America (ASAANA), a dedicated non-profit organization, proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary and 5th reunion on October 19, 2024, at Shalimar Banquet in Addison, Illinois. This significant event gathered alumni from across North America to pay tribute to their alma mater, All Saints’ High School, Hyderabad, India, an esteemed Christian institution with a rich 165-year history.

The evening commenced with a lively social hour, providing alumni with the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old classmates and reminisce about their time at All Saints’ High School. The program was emceed by Dr. Shah Khan, who welcomed the attendees, including Chief Guest Illinois District Court Judge John C. Anderson and Guest of Honor Lake County Treasurer Holly Kim.

In his welcoming speech, ASAANA President Ameer Khan reflected on the illustrious history of All Saints’ High School, founded in 1855 by Reverend Daniel Murphy, at the request of King Asaf Nasirud Dowla of Hyderabad. Originally modeled after Murphy’s alma mater in Ireland, the school’s motto, “Virtus Sola Nobilitat” (Virtue Alone Ennobles), underscores its commitment to academic excellence and character development. Since 1932, the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel have continued to uphold the school’s mission of nurturing future leaders and professionals.

President Khan emphasized ASAANA’s role as a non-profit organization focused on fostering unity among alumni and preserving the legacy of All Saints’ High School. Attendees received the specially prepared 2024 ASAANA Souvenir Magazine, chronicling the milestones and achievements of the alumni association over the years.

The event included an awards ceremony recognizing distinguished alumni for their significant contributions in various fields. Awards were presented in three categories: Honor Awards, Extraordinary High Achievement Awards, and Certificates of Appreciation.

The ASAANA 2024 Board & Working Committee included key members such as Founder & President Ameer M Khan, Vice Presidents Dinesh Mahendra and Mushtaq Ahmed, and others.

The evening featured a cultural program, highlighting the talents of alumni Vaseem Iftekhar and Irshad Ansar, who delivered an engaging musical performance, followed by a traditional Hyderabadi dinner.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from ASAANA Vice President Dr. Dinesh Mahendra, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this memorable gathering.
