AUSTIN, TEXAS — The nationally ranked Chaparrals of Austin Westlake kicked off their UIL district play in impressive fashion, defeating Akins with a decisive 70-0 victory on Thursday night.

The Chaparrals, ranked No. 6 in Texas and No. 18 nationally, showcased their dominance right from the start. After a strong bye week following a tough four-game stretch, Westlake quickly established control of the game, leading 49-0 by halftime.
