A daughter from Bhagalpur has brought immense pride to her family and nation. Shrishti Chiraniya, a student at NIT Jamshedpur, has achieved an exceptional milestone by securing an annual package worth Rs 1.23 crore from a leading US company. This impressive offer, extended by Rubrik—a firm specializing in cloud data management and data security—represents the largest package ever awarded from NIT Jamshedpur.
Shrishti, who hails from Navgachiya in Bhagalpur, is pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur. From a young age, she aspired to become an engineer, and her dedication has now culminated in this significant achievement. Her mother, Mamta Chiraniya, expressed that the success of her daughter is the greatest accomplishment a mother could hope for, emphasizing the value of providing quality education.
NIT Jamshedpur has achieved a remarkable placement rate of 93.76% this year, with 631 out of 673 B.Tech students securing placements. The Metallurgy department achieved a perfect 100% placement rate, and placements were also successfully secured for 125 M.Tech and 80 MCA students. The highest salary package offered was Rs 40.33 lakh per annum, with the lowest being Rs 8.73 lakh per annum.
Starting August 12, NIT Jamshedpur will launch evening classes for its postgraduate programs, including M.Tech courses in Data Science and Smart Manufacturing. Additionally, nine new programs across seven departments will be introduced, along with a new Master in Design course, as part of a nationwide initiative involving 22 NITs and IITs.
