CBSE Announces Tier 2 Recruitment Exam Dates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the dates for the Tier 2 recruitment examinations, scheduled for November 10. The exams will be conducted for various positions, including Accounts Officer, Assistant Secretary (Academics/Training), and Assistant Secretary (Skill Education) from 9 AM to noon. The exam for the Assistant Secretary (Administration) will take place in the afternoon, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Candidates who successfully cleared the Tier 1 exam, conducted on August 3, 10, and 11, are eligible to sit for the Tier 2 exam.

The Tier 2 question paper will consist of 47 questions totaling 320 marks. The breakdown of the exam format includes:

  • 40-mark questions requiring responses of up to 300 words.
  • 10-mark questions necessitating answers of 150 words.
  • Five-mark questions with answers of 75 words.
  • Two-mark questions requiring concise, one-line responses.

The exam will be available in both English and Hindi.

Additionally, candidates who appeared for the Tier 1 examination in cities outside Delhi will be reimbursed for their travel expenses. Specifically, they will receive a refund for Sleeper Class (Non-AC) train fare for their round trip. To claim the reimbursement, candidates must present their train tickets along with a cancelled cheque from their bank during the Tier 2 examination. The reimbursement will then be credited to the candidates’ bank accounts.

An official notice stated: “Candidates who have appeared in the Tier 1 examination in cities other than Delhi will be reimbursed for their Sleeper Class (Non-AC) Train Fare. To claim this fare, candidates must submit copies of their to-and-fro journey train tickets and a copy of a cancelled cheque from their bank account during the Tier 2 examination. The reimbursement amount will be transferred to their bank account.”
