The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that Class 12 students unable to appear for the Hindi Core (302) and Hindi Elective (002) board exams on March 15, 2025, due to Holi celebrations will be given an alternative opportunity to write the paper.
Provision for Affected Students
CBSE examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj confirmed that while Holi will be celebrated on March 14 in most parts of the country, some regions may extend celebrations to March 15. Despite this, the Hindi exams will proceed as scheduled.
However, students who face difficulties appearing for the exam on the scheduled date can choose to write the paper on a later date. These students will be accommodated under the board’s policy for special examinations, which also applies to students participating in national or international sporting events.
Guidelines for Alternative Exam Date
CBSE will issue detailed guidelines outlining the process for students seeking the alternative exam date. Affected students should stay updated through official CBSE notifications and inform their schools promptly if they wish to opt for the rescheduled exam.
Conclusion
This move by CBSE ensures that students facing genuine challenges due to Holi celebrations are not disadvantaged. It reflects the board’s commitment to maintaining fairness while accommodating regional variations in festival observances.
