CBSE Exams Aligned With NEP 2020, Results Declared Online
New Delhi, May 13 — Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday confirmed that the CBSE Board examinations are being conducted in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on competency-based assessments and enhanced digital access.
In a post on social media platform X, Pradhan emphasized the shift toward technology-enabled evaluation methods. “CBSE Board exams are conducted in alignment with NEP 2020, with emphasis on competency-based assessment leveraging technology for accessibility and ease,” he wrote.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has made exam results available online through multiple platforms, including the official CBSE website, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app, in addition to availability at schools. This initiative aims to increase accessibility and streamline academic services for students nationwide.
Highlights of CBSE Class 10 Results
The Class 10 examination was conducted from February 15 to March 18. This year, 93.66% of students passed, a 0.06% increase over the previous year. Notably, 95% of girls cleared the exam, outperforming boys by 2.37%.
- Top Performing Region: Thiruvananthapuram recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.70%.
- Lowest Performing Region: Guwahati came in last with 84.14%.
CBSE Class 12 Results at a Glance
In the Class 12 results, 88.39% of students passed—an improvement of 0.41% over last year. Again, girls led the performance charts, with a 91% pass rate, which is 5.94% higher than the pass rate for boys.

Pradhan congratulated the students and their families, stating,
“Heartiest congratulations to all my young friends and their parents, who have successfully cleared the CBSE Class XII and Class X examinations. This is a moment to rejoice and cherish the fruits of hard work, dedication and perseverance.”
He wished students a bright and healthy future, highlighting the government’s continued support for digitally integrated and student-friendly education reforms under NEP 2020.
