CBSE Issues Notice on ‘Parenting Calendar’ for Better Parent-School Collaboration

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important notice about the establishment of a committee to develop a “Parenting Calendar” for the academic session 2025-26. The initiative aims to foster improved communication and collaboration between parents and schools, ensuring better educational outcomes for students across various learning environments, including online schools.

Objectives of the Parenting Calendar Initiative

The CBSE has outlined the following key objectives for the committee:

  1. Enhancing Parent-Teacher Interaction:
    Promoting effective communication between parents, teachers, and school authorities to address student needs holistically.
  2. Addressing Diverse Student Needs:
    Providing tailored support for adolescents, children, students with special needs (CWSN), and those in early and middle-age groups.
  3. Building a Consistent Communication Framework:
    Establishing structured engagement to address critical milestones in students’ academic and personal growth.
  4. Timely Support and Interventions:
    Offering well-timed assistance through planned interactions and collaborative efforts.

Leadership and Implementation

The committee will be chaired by Anuradha Joshi, Principal of Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. With her leadership, the initiative is expected to bridge gaps in communication and strengthen the partnership between schools and parents, benefiting students at every stage of development.
