CBSE Recruitment Examination 2024 Tier 2: Schedule, Exam Details, and Support Measures

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Tier 2 recruitment examination schedule for various key posts, including Accounts Officer, Assistant Secretary (Academics/Training), Assistant Secretary (Skill Education), and Assistant Secretary (Administration). The exam is set to take place on November 10, 2024, with candidates who cleared the Tier 1 exams in August 2024 eligible to participate.

Exam Timings and Structure:

  • 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon: Accounts Officer, Assistant Secretary (Academics/Training), and Assistant Secretary (Skill Education)
  • 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM: Assistant Secretary (Administration)

Question Paper Structure:

  1. Assistant Secretary (Administration):
    • Part 1: Current Affairs and General Awareness (Economics, social/political issues, technology, history, culture, geography)
    • Part 2: Administrative theories, public policy, and reforms
    • Part 3: Indian Constitution, governance, law, ethics, and integrity
    • Part 4: Essay writing in Hindi or English

The exam consists of 47 questions worth a total of 320 marks. The questions vary in word limits, with some requiring concise one-line answers and others more detailed responses up to 300 words.

  1. Assistant Secretary (Academics/Training/Skill Education):
    • Objective Questions: 15 questions (30 marks)
    • Short Answer Questions: 20 out of 25 (100 marks)
    • Medium Answer Questions: 10 out of 12 (100 marks)
    • Long Answer Questions: 3 out of 5 (90 marks)
  2. Accounts Officer:
    • Part 1: Commerce, business studies, economics, and accounting
    • Part 2: Current affairs
    • Part 3: Constitution and governance
    • Part 4: Essay writing

Support for Tier 1 Candidates:

CBSE has extended a reimbursement benefit to candidates who attended the Tier 1 exams outside Delhi. Sleeper Class (Non-AC) train fare for the round trip will be reimbursed upon submission of train tickets and a cancelled cheque during the Tier 2 exam. The amount will be directly credited to their bank accounts.

Candidates are encouraged to review the detailed exam structure and ensure timely submission of the required documents for travel reimbursement.
