The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the examination date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 session. Originally scheduled for December 15, 2024, the exam will now take place on December 14, 2024. This change comes in response to scheduling conflicts with other competitive exams occurring on the same date in various states and union territories.
In an official notice, CBSE stated, “Now, as per the information received from various candidates, few competitive examinations are scheduled to be held in some states/union territories on 15 December 2024 (Sunday). Hence, keeping in view the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on 14th December 2024 (Saturday).”
Potential for Additional Exam Date
CBSE has indicated that if the number of candidates registered in a specific city exceeds the available seating capacity, the exam may still be held on December 15, 2024. This is the second alteration to the CTET December 2024 exam date, as it was previously postponed from December 1 to December 15.
Ongoing Registration for CTET December 2024
Candidates can still register for the CTET December 2024 exam, with the registration process remaining open until October 16, 2024. Interested individuals can apply through the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in.
CTET December 2024 Exam Fee Structure
The examination fee is structured as follows:
- For general and OBC candidates: ₹1000 for either Paper I or Paper II; ₹1200 for both papers.
- For SC/ST and differently-abled candidates: ₹500 for either Paper I or Paper II; ₹600 for both papers.
Payment can be made online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
