Central University of Haryana Wins “Emerging University of the Year” at FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards 2024

Mahendergarh, Haryana, India – The Central University of Haryana (CUH) has been honored with the prestigious “Emerging University of the Year” award at the FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards 2024. This accolade recognizes CUH’s outstanding contributions to higher education through innovation, research, and academic excellence, establishing it as a leader among emerging universities across India.

The award was presented on October 18, 2024, during the 19th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2024 held in Delhi, by Ms. Jyoti Vij, Director General of FICCI, and Ms. Lindey Cameron, British High Commissioner to India. CUH was commended for its remarkable progress in curriculum innovation, international collaborations, employment generation, and research excellence.

The FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards are among the most prestigious recognitions in Indian higher education, celebrating institutions that demonstrate leadership in academic standards, industry engagement, and societal contribution. The “Emerging University of the Year” category specifically honors young institutions that have rapidly made an impact in the education sector.

Professor (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of CUH, expressed his joy over the achievement, stating, “This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and innovation. Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), remarked, “This award reflects our institution’s success in implementing strategic initiatives for quality improvement across academic and administrative domains. The IQAC will continue to work towards enhancing educational standards and achieving global benchmarks.” He also expressed gratitude to the members of the award application committee for their hard work.
