In a move to address overlapping exam schedules, the Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced revised dates for five key courses. The decision follows concerns raised by students and parents about clashes with the CBSE Class 12 board exams.

Revised CET Schedule

The changes, issued in a circular on Friday, are as follows:

  • Five-Year Law CET: Originally scheduled for April 4, it will now take place on April 28.
  • B.Ed. and M.P.Ed. CETs: Initially set for March 16, these exams will now be held on March 19.
  • M.P.Ed. Field Test: Rescheduled from March 17-18 to March 20-21.
  • MBA/MMS CET: Postponed from March 17-19 to April 1-3.
  • BBA/BCA/BBM CET: Moved from April 1-3 to April 29-30 and May 2.

Reason for the Change

The CBSE Class 12 exams, scheduled from April 1 to 4, overlapped with the five-year law CET on April 4, sparking widespread appeals for a revision. Responding to these concerns, the CET Cell revised the schedules to ensure students could appear for both exams without conflict.

Initial Schedule and Registration

The CET Cell had released a tentative exam schedule for 19 courses in November 2024, with registrations commencing soon after. These revisions aim to provide convenience and ensure fairness for students navigating both CBSE and CET examinations.
