The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has launched a recruitment drive for various positions, including Sub-Inspector, Subedar, and Platoon Commander. The recruitment drive has the following vacancies:
- Sub-Inspector: 278 seats
- Subedar: 19 seats
- Special Branch Sub-Inspector: 11 seats
- Platoon Commander: 14 seats
- Sub-Inspector Fingerprint: 4 seats
- Sub-Inspector Question Documents: 11 seats
- Sub-Inspector Computer: 5 seats
- Sub-Inspector Cyber Crime: 9 seats
Educational Qualifications
Candidates applying for the positions of Sub-Inspector, Special Branch Sub-Inspector, and Platoon Commander must possess a graduation degree in any discipline. For the roles of Sub-Inspector Computer and Cyber Crime Sub-Inspector, candidates should have a BCA or BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
Age Limit
Eligible candidates must be aged between 21 and 28 as of January 1, 2024. Additionally, there is a relaxation of 5 years for certain categories. OBC, SC, and ST candidates will also receive an additional 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit as per central government norms.
Physical Requirements
- For Male Candidates:
- Minimum Height: 168 cm
- Chest Measurement: 81 cm (unexpanded) and 86 cm (expanded)
- For Female Candidates:
- Minimum Height: 151 cm
Physical Test Components
The physical test will include the following events:
- Long Jump
- High Jump
- Shot Put
- 100-Meter Sprint
- 1500-Meter Race
Selection Process
The selection will involve a physical test, a physical efficiency test, and a written exam. Candidates will also undergo a final personal interview after the written test.
