Ghaziabad, Oct 24, 2024: Covestro (India) Private Limited has initiated a project aimed at bridging the digital divide in public schools across Uttar Pradesh. The initiative, known as the STEMpowering, Digital Equalizer Project, seeks to train over 125 teachers and provide quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education to more than 10,000 students. This program, launched in partnership with the American India Foundation Trust, will span across 25 government schools, primarily benefiting students from grades 6 to 10.
The project, running from 2024 to 2027, is designed to prepare students for a technology-driven future by introducing them to engaging STEM concepts through workshops, external visits, and annual showcases. Teachers will receive specialized training to integrate modern teaching tools and technology into their classrooms, enhancing the overall learning experience.
Key Objectives and Impact
The initiative aims to directly impact up to 10,000 students over three years by fostering a deeper understanding of STEM subjects. Teachers will play a critical role in delivering the curriculum, as they will be trained in contemporary pedagogical approaches to help students grasp complex concepts more effectively. Regular assessments and close monitoring of the project will ensure that the educational goals are met.
