Exam Conduct and Issues:

  • Date Rescheduling: Originally scheduled for June 30, the announcement was rescheduled due to delays and allegations of exam paper leaks in NEET-UG, UGC-NET, and CSIR-UGC-NET.
  • Hybrid Mode: Conducted in both pen-and-paper and computer-based modes to avoid past issues. The exam was rescheduled in Delhi due to “logistical reasons” but was later successfully held.
  • Participation: Over 13.4 lakh candidates registered for the exam this year, with exams conducted in 63 subjects—15 in pen-and-paper mode and 48 computer-based.

Historical Context:

  • Previous Years: In 2022, the inaugural CUET-UG faced technical glitches, and scores were normalized due to multiple shifts. The 2024 hybrid mode aimed to prevent such issues and ensure a smooth examination process.
