The Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced that non-plan admissions for Classes 6 to 9 in Delhi government schools for the 2025-26 academic year will commence on April 1. The process will be conducted online in three phases:
- Phase 1: April 1 to April 8
- Phase 2: May 1 to May 24
- Phase 3: July 1 to July 25
Students who miss online registration may apply manually for Class 9 admission until August 5, with the final admission list to be released on August 11. The last date for admissions is August 31.
Eligibility and Admission Process
- Online Registration: Admissions for Classes 6 and 7 will be conducted online.
- Out-of-School Children: Dropouts aged 10–13 years must register physically at the nearest school. They will undergo an assessment for basic literacy and numeracy before placement.
- NSO Category Students: Students enrolled under the Non-Standard Organisation (NSO) in government or aided schools must apply for readmission or transfer through their respective institutions.
Allotment of Schools and Verification
- Schools will be assigned based on available vacancies through an online mechanism.
- If a school is not available in the cluster, the district education officer will allocate one in a nearby cluster.
- Parents can correct application errors and resubmit them with OTP-based validation before the deadline.
