Mittal, a 2013-batch IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, originally hails from Haryana’s Rewari district. She secured an All-India Rank (AIR) of 68 in the 2012 UPSC civil services examination, joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) after initially serving in the Indian Police Service (IPS). Known for her developmental work, she has made significant contributions in previous roles, including providing water access to Lahuria Deh village in Mirzapur. Mittal’s background as an investment banker in London, coupled with her MBA from IIM Bengaluru and BTech from IIT Delhi, further strengthens her administrative capabilities. Her dedication and impactful work have earned her widespread recognition, including heartfelt farewells with rose petals from locals upon her transfer from Mirzapur.

Pratyush Pandey, a 27-year-old IAS officer and IIT Kanpur graduate, is currently serving as the chief development officer (CDO) in Deoria. He believes that the combination of officials and the local MP will drive the district’s development forward. Pandey’s background includes an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a notable rank of 21st in the UPSC examination, which he passed on his first attempt. His youth and innovative approach make him the youngest IAS officer posted in the district to date.
