In the Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh, a significant initiative has been launched to provide free coaching for the Navodaya examination at a government school. This development comes as a response to the absence of coaching centers offering free education in Tendukheda, a town located 56 km from the district headquarters. Many rural areas in the district face similar challenges, hindering students’ access to quality education and resources.
Establishment of the Coaching Center
The free coaching center has been set up at the Government Shaskiya Utkrisht Uchchtar Madhyamik Vidyalaya. The primary aim of this initiative is to offer better educational opportunities to talented students, thereby helping them realize their academic aspirations. Approximately 100 children are currently preparing for the Navodaya examination, guided by a dedicated learning board and experienced teachers.
Satyendra Singh Lodhi, the brother of Tourism and Culture Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi and a former Navodaya Vidyalaya student himself, has taken the lead in this initiative. He has carefully selected skilled teachers and sought their cooperation to ensure the success of this coaching program, which is designed specifically for economically disadvantaged students.
Benefits for Economically Weaker Students
The establishment of the free Navodaya coaching center aims to provide quality education to economically weaker students, enabling them to identify and harness their talents. The initiative offers:
- Quality Guidance: Experienced teachers are dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Increased Awareness: The program seeks to enhance societal awareness regarding the importance of education.
- Accessibility: Students from both urban and rural backgrounds can now access free education, previously unavailable in Tendukheda.
Pritam Singh Gond, a farmer from Richkudi village, shared his experience of this initiative, stating that he has been bringing his three children to the coaching center daily since its opening. “I came to know that a free coaching center has opened in Tendukheda, and I started coming here every day at 6:30 in the morning with my children. It has been more than 20 days,” he noted.
Teacher Sarvesh Garg emphasized the significance of this center, stating that before its establishment, no such coaching facility existed in Tendukheda for the Navodaya exam. Now, children from both urban and rural areas are benefiting from this opportunity.
This initiative represents a crucial step toward enhancing educational access for underprivileged students in the Damoh district, shaping a brighter future for them through quality education and dedicated support.
