With her father, Alok Singla, a medical officer in Himachal Pradesh, and her mother, Neerja Singla, also a medical officer, Gamini was surrounded by role models who emphasized the importance of knowledge and hard work. Her brother, Tushar Singla, a graduate of IIT Kharagpur, further fostered a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment at home.

However, Gamini was determined not to give up. She analyzed her mistakes, identified areas for improvement, and committed herself to working harder for her second attempt.

She achieved an All-India Rank 3, realizing her dream of becoming an IAS officer. Her father, Alok Singla, played a pivotal role in this achievement, offering continuous support and motivation throughout the preparation process.

Gamini adhered to a rigorous study schedule, dedicating 9 to 10 hours daily to her preparation. She followed a structured plan that helped her stay focused, improve her weaknesses, and perform at her best during the exam.

Training and Current Role

Following her success, Gamini underwent training at the IAS Academy in Mussoorie, where she further honed her skills. She was then appointed to the Uttar Pradesh cadre and, as of August 30, 2024, currently serves as the Joint Magistrate in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
