ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2025 Begins with English Paper 1

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 board exams 2025, conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), begin today, February 18. On the first day, students will appear for the English Language (English Paper 1) exam. The exam will start at 11 AM and will last for two hours. Additionally, students will have 15 minutes for reading the question paper.

Important Exam Day Guidelines

Students must follow the prescribed exam guidelines to ensure a smooth examination process:

  • Reporting Time: Candidates must arrive at the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the exam.
  • Exit Rules: Leaving the examination hall before the conclusion of the exam is not permitted.
  • Question Paper Instructions: Students must read the instructions on the first page carefully, noting the number of questions they are required to answer. Attempting only the specified number of questions is essential.
  • Answer Booklet Details: Candidates must clearly write their Unique ID (Unique Identification Number), Index Number, and Subject on the top sheet of the main answer booklet. This information should also be included on any additional sheets such as continuation booklets, maps, or graph papers.

Writing Guidelines for Students

Candidates must adhere to the following writing rules:

  • Only blue or black ink pens should be used.
  • The top sheet of the main answer booklet requires the candidate’s signature in the designated space. Scribbling on this sheet is strictly prohibited.
  • Unless otherwise specified in the question paper, candidates should write on both sides of each sheet.
  • A margin must be left on both the right-hand and left-hand edges of the answer booklet.
  • Each part of an answer should start on a new line, with the question number clearly written in the left-hand margin.
