The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for its July 2024 admissions. Interested candidates now have until July 31 to apply for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) courses. Applications must be submitted through the official website of the university at ignouadmissions.samarth.edu.in for ODL courses and ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for online courses.
Documents Required for IGNOU July Admissions 2024:
Candidates need to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Scanned copy of photograph
- Scanned copy of signature
- Educational qualifications certificates
- Category certificate (if applicable)
Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU July Admissions 2024:
- For undergraduate (UG) admissions, candidates must have passed class 12 with at least 50% marks from a recognized educational board.
- For postgraduate (PG) courses, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Diploma or certificate course applicants should have completed class 12 from a recognized board.

- Visit the official IGNOU website at ignouadmissions.samarth.edu.in.
- Navigate to the ‘July Admissions 2024’ tab on the homepage and click on it.
- Choose your desired programme—Online or ODL—and complete the application form by submitting all required documents.
- Pay the application fee.
- Download and print the application form for future reference.
Application Fee:
All applicants for UG, PG, or Diploma programmes at IGNOU are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 300. According to IGNOU’s official notice, a cancellation fee of 15% of the programme fee (up to a maximum of Rs 2,000) will be deducted if the cancellation request is received after admission confirmation.
