The registration window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, administered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, will close today, September 13. Candidates interested in applying must submit their applications by 5 PM through the official CAT website iimcat.ac.in.
Application Fee:
- General/OBC: Rs 2500
- SC/ST/PwD: Rs 1250
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or equivalent CGPA.
- Provisional Applicants: Candidates in their final year or awaiting results can apply provisionally.

- Click on “New Candidate Registration” on the homepage.
- Register with your email address and phone number.
- Log in using the registration number and password.
- Complete the application form and pay the application fee.
- Submit the application and download the form for future reference.

- Admit Card Release: November 5, 2024
- Result Declaration: Second week of January 2025
Exam Structure:
- Sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants)
- Duration: 120 minutes (40 minutes per section, no switching between sections)
CAT is a key entrance exam for admission to postgraduate and fellow/doctorate programs at IIMs and other participating institutions across India.
