IIT Madras to Launch International Research and Innovation Centre in Dubai

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) is poised to expand its global presence with the establishment of its first international flagship centre, the IITM Global Dubai Centre, scheduled to launch in early 2025. This initiative comes through a strategic partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and aims to enhance collaboration between India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and Dubai’s burgeoning technology landscape.

Overview of the IITM Global Dubai Centre

The agreement to establish the centre was signed during GITEX Global 2024, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, by Hadi Badri, CEO of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC), and Professor Raghunathan Rengaswamy, Dean of Global Engagement at IIT Madras.
