The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is set to release the seat assignment results for Round 5 of counselling 2024 for Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the NIT+ system tomorrow, July 17. The course-specific IIT admission results for 2024 will be available by 5 pm on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Alongside the final seat allocations for Round 5, the opening and closing ranks will also be announced.
Candidates who receive seat allocations must adhere to specific guidelines: they are required to pay their fees and submit necessary documents by the deadline provided. It’s crucial to note that failure to upload required documents within the stipulated timeframe, even after paying the ‘Seat Acceptance Fee’ using the prepayment provision, will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
Each IIT will determine the number of supernumerary seats required for its various programs, ensuring that at least 20 percent of undergraduate students at each institute are female. Classes for first-year students are scheduled to commence on July 30, although some IITs have announced start dates extending beyond August 1. Typically, the academic year begins in July and concludes in June of the following year.
