1. Provisional Answer Key Release:

  • Website: ncet.smarth.ac.in
  • Purpose: The provisional answer key allows candidates to estimate their scores. The NTA has also provided question papers and response sheets.

2. How to Download the Provisional Answer Key:

  1. Visit the Website: Go to the official NCET website at ncet.smarth.ac.in.
  2. Login: Click on the ‘Login’ tab on the homepage.
  3. Enter Details: Input your login details and click ‘Submit’.
  4. Access Answer Key: Click on ‘View/Challenge Answer Key’.
  5. Download: The provisional answer key will be displayed on the screen. Download it and use it to estimate your score.

3. Objection Process:

  • Deadline to Raise Objections: July 31, 2024
  • Fee: Rs 200 per question
  • Procedure: To challenge an answer, submit your objection along with a non-refundable processing fee and any supporting documents.

4. Exam Details:

  • Exam Date: June 12, 2024
  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Languages: English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Urdu
  • Total Questions: 181 (Candidates need to attempt at least 160 questions)
  • Scoring: 1 mark per correct answer; no negative marking

5. Passing Criteria:

  • General Category: Minimum 50% marks
  • Reserved Categories: Minimum 45% marks

6. NCET 2024 Result Announcement:

  • Expected Release: August 2024
