The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has initiated the registration process for Round 2 of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Counselling from today, September 5, 2024. Candidates can register on the official website at mcc.nic.in. The choice-locking process will start at 4 PM today and will conclude on September 10, 2024, at 11:55 PM.
Key Dates and Process:
- Choice-locking: September 5 – 10, 2024
- Seat allotment process: September 11 – 12, 2024
- Result announcement: September 13, 2024
- Institute reporting: September 14 – 20, 2024
Candidates who did not secure a seat or failed to report in the first round need not register again. However, new candidates for Round 2 must pay the registration fee and select their preferred colleges and courses.
Eligibility for NEET UG Round 2 Counselling:
- Candidates who qualify the NEET-UG exam can participate.
- Those whose seats were cancelled during document verification in Round 1 may also register, provided seats are available in their category.
Steps to Register for NEET UG Round 2 Counselling:
- Visit the MCC website: mcc.nic.in
- Click on the ‘UG Medical’ section.
- Under the ‘Candidate Activity Board’, select ‘New Login Registration’.
- Enter NEET UG roll number, password, and security pin.
- Fill out the application form and submit it.
- Pay the registration fee.
- Save a copy or take a printout of the registration for future reference.

- NEET 2024 Admit Card and Scorecard
- Class 10 & 12 marksheets and certificates
- Photo ID proof
- 6-8 passport-sized photographs
- Caste/Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Provisional allotment letter
The counselling will include four rounds—Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and an Online Stray Vacancy Round—for All India Quota (15%), Deemed and Central Universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER institutes.
