The two-day workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at Sardar Patel University (SPU) has successfully concluded. Experts, academicians, and policymakers gathered to discuss policy implementation, skill-based learning, and technology integration in education.

During the closing ceremony, Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Vice Chancellor of SPU, Mandi, emphasized the significance of such events. He stated, “The NEP 2020 is a visionary framework that promotes flexibility, interdisciplinary education, skill development, and technology integration.” He further added that the workshop helped participants explore practical ways to implement NEP 2020, ensuring students gain relevant skills for the future.

The second day featured key presentations by prominent academicians:
- Prof. Bhola Ram Gurjar, Director of NITTTR, Chandigarh, spoke about the challenges of implementing NEP 2020. He highlighted the importance of digital learning, skill development, and technology adoption.
- Prof. Mahesh Chander Govil, Director of NIT Sikkim, explained how NEP 2020 can transform Indian education.
- Prof. Chander Shekhar, retired professor from IIT Delhi, and Prof. Karunesh Kumar Shukla, Director of NIT Bhopal, shared insights on holistic and multidisciplinary education. Prof. Shukla described NEP 2020 as a landmark reform and suggested practical steps for institutions to align with it.
The workshop concluded with a commitment to effectively implementing NEP 2020. Moving forward, institutions will focus on aligning with its vision for a future-ready education system.
