NMDC, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has partnered with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) to offer free skill development training for 500 youth from Dantewada and Bastar districts. This initiative aims to equip young individuals with industry-relevant skills and create employment opportunities in the region.
NMDC will fully fund the course fees for all selected candidates.
Courses and Eligibility
The program offers training across different qualification levels:
- For 8th pass students (400 seats):
- Machine Operator – Plastics Processing
- Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Plastic Extrusion
- Plastic Recycling, FRP Operator, and more
- For 10th pass students (80 seats):
- Diploma in Plastic Technology (DPT)
- Diploma in Plastic Mold Technology (DPMT)
- For graduates in science (20 seats):
- PG Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT)
Job Placement and Salary Prospects
CIPET guarantees 70% job placement for successful candidates, offering potential salaries between ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month.

Enrollment begins on March 10 at designated locations:
- March 10-11: Mangal Bhawan, Kirandul (Dantewada)
- March 12: Gram Panchayat, Nagarnar (Bastar)
- March 13: Gram Panchayat Office, Chokawada (Bastar)
