The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) recently conducted an educational camp at Muskaan Public School, Maulana Azad Nagar. This initiative was organized under the guidance of NSS Coordinator Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan, aiming to provide academic support and promote awareness about children’s education.

The camp was supervised by NSS Programme Officers Dr. Mohd Furkan, Dr. Naushad Najib, and Dr. Tarushikha Sarvesh. During the camp, student volunteers engaged with schoolchildren by offering academic assistance and conducting after-school tutoring sessions to enhance their learning experience.

In addition to academic support, the initiative also included an awareness rally and door-to-door consultations, where volunteers educated residents on the importance of enrolling children in schools. A brief survey was conducted to understand public perceptions of both government and private schools, as well as the accessibility of education in the locality.

Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan highlighted the importance of such outreach programs in bridging educational gaps, particularly in underprivileged communities. He acknowledged the contributions of over 100 student volunteers who actively participated in the camp and commended their dedication towards social service.

The NSS AMU educational camp successfully promoted the significance of education while fostering community engagement and awareness. Such initiatives continue to play a crucial role in encouraging school enrollment and enhancing educational opportunities for children in underserved areas.
