- Early Career: Nath began his career as a Sub-Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Thiruvalla, Pathanamthitta, followed by a similar position in Devikulam, Idukki District.

On the same day as his CEO appointment, Nath was also named Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of NALCO in Bhubaneswar by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), with approval from the Cabinet’s Appointments Committee. This role as CVO is set for a three-year period, and Nath will assume it following his responsibilities in the upcoming Kerala by-elections.
