Students who appeared for the Rajasthan RBSE 5th and 8th board exams, conducted between March 28 and May 4, are still awaiting their mark sheets, even though results were declared on May 30. More than four months have passed since the result announcement, and many students have yet to receive their official mark sheets, causing significant delays in their admissions to the next grade.
The primary reason for the delay is the non-printing of the mark sheets by the Registrar Education Departmental Office in Bikaner. Officials estimate that it could take another month for the mark sheets to be printed, distributed, and sent to schools. A total of 26.86 lakh students across Rajasthan appeared for these exams during the 2023-24 session, including over 90,000 students from Sikar district alone, who are directly impacted by this delay.
Without the official mark sheets, students face challenges in securing admissions to higher classes, as most schools require a copy of the board exam results for enrollment. This situation has led to students making repeated visits to district education offices and schools in search of their mark sheets.
However, some schools are temporarily accepting online mark sheets to facilitate admissions. Still, the absence of the official document is causing unnecessary stress for students and parents alike, with no clear resolution in sight for at least another month.
