Sardar Patel University (SPU), Mandi, will organize a national workshop on “New Education Policy (NEP) 2020: Shaping Education for Viksit Bharat” from March 7 to 8. The workshop aims to explore the role of NEP 2020 in developing a sustainable and inclusive education system for a developed India.
Objectives of the Workshop
According to SPU Vice Chancellor Prof Lalit Kumar Awasthi, the event will focus on:
- Understanding the vision of NEP 2020 in shaping a developed India
- Creating a sustainable framework for policy implementation
- Promoting equitable and inclusive education
- Highlighting the role of teachers in nation-building
- Encouraging holistic and multidisciplinary learning
Prof Awasthi mentioned that this is the first national-level workshop on NEP 2020 at SPU-Mandi, with distinguished academicians from various institutions participating.

Inaugural Session Details
The workshop will begin with an inaugural session on March 7 at 10 AM in the university auditorium, with IIT-Mandi Director Prof Laxmidhar Behra as the chief guest.
