The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the provisional answer key for the Junior Engineer (JE) tier 2 exam. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access and review the answer key through the official SSC website at ssc.nic.in. The deadline to submit objections is October 14, with a fee of Rs 100 for each challenge.

How to Challenge the SSC JE Provisional Answer Key

Candidates who wish to challenge the provisional answer key should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official SSC Website: Navigate to ssc.nic.in and look for the SSC JE answer key notification.
  2. Click on the Relevant Link: Select the link labeled “Click to Raise Objections to Tentative SSC JE Answer Key.”
  3. Login and Choose Question: Enter your login credentials and choose the question number along with the answer to be challenged.
  4. Submit Proof and Payment: Provide supporting evidence and pay the required fee to finalize the submission.

Exam Overview and Marking Scheme

The SSC JE 2024 tier 2 exam was conducted on November 6 in a computer-based test format. Candidates can use the answer key along with the official marking scheme to estimate their scores. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark, while incorrect answers will result in a deduction of 0.25 marks. Unanswered questions do not affect the score.

Previous Exam and Selection Details

SSC released the results for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) Recruitment Paper 1 in August. The first phase of the exam took place from June 5 to 7, 2024, and a total of 11,765 candidates were shortlisted for Civil Engineering and 4,458 for Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

The Paper 2 exam is specifically for candidates who passed Paper 1. It consists of three distinct sections: Part A for Civil and Structural Engineering, Part B for Electrical Engineering, and Part C for Mechanical Engineering. Successful candidates are eligible for a salary range between Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.

Candidates are advised to complete their answer key challenges by October 14 to ensure their inputs are considered before the release of the final answer key and results.
