St Joseph’s School recently hosted its Annual Science Exhibition, SCIPLORE, under the theme ‘Innovating the Future.’ The event highlighted the scientific creativity of students as they presented models addressing key issues such as environmental conservation and the role of Artificial Intelligence in building a sustainable future.
Event Highlights:
- Participants: Students from classes 4 through 11 displayed a variety of science and math projects.
- Focus: Many projects centered on how AI can contribute to sustainability.
- Interactive Features: The exhibition included hands-on demonstrations, with a particularly popular dark room setup simulating a forest to emphasize environmental conservation.
Guests of Honor:
- Chief Guest: Anant R Koppar, CEO and Managing Director of Kushagramati Analytics, who emphasized the importance of curiosity and innovation in technological development.
- School Leadership: The event was also attended by Principal Rohan D’Almeida, finance officer Roysten Pinto, vice principal Sheena Joseph, academic coordinators, and PTA Vice President Kamal Govindraj.
In his address, Principal D’Almeida introduced the DICEE concept—Deep, Intelligent, Complete, Empowering, and Enhancing life—as a framework for approaching true innovation.
Special Recognitions:
- Decennial Year Celebration: Parents engaged in research and sustainable innovations were honored.
- Student Achievement: Aschelle Rodrigues of Class 10 was felicitated for her article published in the American Journal of Student Research in the field of Biology.
