The University of Kerala has announced the postponement of all examinations scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2024, due to the ongoing by-elections. This includes both theory and practical examinations. The university has stated that the revised dates for the affected examinations are available on its official website at www.keralauniversity.ac.in.

The university also confirmed that there will be no changes to the examination centres or timings for any other scheduled examinations. Examinations for dates other than November 13 will proceed as planned.

In a related update, the government has declared a public holiday on November 13, 2024, for all government and public sector institutions, as well as educational institutions, in the ErnadVantur, and Nilambur constituencies of the Malappuram district. This holiday is in observance of the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-elections.

As per the Negotiable Instruments Act, a holiday will be applicable to these constituencies on this date.

Additionally, all private commercial and industrial establishments in the affected constituencies must grant paid leave to their employees for November 13. Government and private employees who are registered to vote in the Wayanad and Chelakkara constituencies but work outside these areas will also receive a paid holiday on this day.

A similar public holiday has been declared for November 20, 2024, in the Palakkad constituency in connection with the by-elections. This holiday will apply to educational institutions, government offices, and other designated establishments within the constituency.
